Copyright & Takedown Policy

DealerRadar.ca aggregates used-car listings from publicly accessible Canadian dealership websites so shoppers can search across dealers in one place. Listing facts — price, year, make, model, mileage, VIN — are factual data. Listing photographs are the copyrighted work of the dealer, their photographer, or the manufacturer, and we make no claim of ownership over them.

We reference dealer photos to help dealers reach more buyers, and we respect the rights of copyright holders. If you own a work that appears here and want it removed, we will act on a valid request promptly using the process below.

As a Canadian service we follow the notice-and-notice regime under the Copyright Act (Canada), and we also honour DMCA-style takedown notices (17 U.S.C. § 512) so that copyright holders in any jurisdiction can reach us. To report content you believe infringes your copyright, email dealerradar@gmail.com with the subject line "Copyright / DMCA Notice" and include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The exact URL(s) on DealerRadar.ca where the material appears, so we can locate it.
• Your name, organization, address, and a contact email.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We review valid notices and remove or disable access to the identified material within 3 business days, and typically much sooner.

If you are a dealership and would prefer that none of your listing photos appear on DealerRadar.ca, you do not need to file an item-by-item notice. Email dealerradar@gmail.com with the subject line "Photo Opt-Out" from an email address at your dealership's domain (or otherwise verify your affiliation), and we will suppress all photography associated with your dealership across the site and exclude it from our image sitemaps.

Once suppressed, your listings may still appear as text-only entries (price, year, make, model, mileage) — which remains factual data that links shoppers back to you — unless you also request full removal of your dealership's data under our Terms of Service.

If material you posted was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to dealerradar@gmail.com identifying the removed material, its former location, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed in error, together with your contact information and signature.

We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, stop syndicating content from sources that are the subject of repeated, valid infringement notices.
